What is Fertile Ground Ranch?

Fertile Ground Ranch Discipleship Ministry (FGR) was born out of a desire to walk with men who are leaving behind destructive patterns of life and want to grow as wholehearted disciples of Jesus Christ. We provide a peaceful, Christ‑centered environment where individuals can be grounded in God’s Word, strengthened in faith, and equipped to live lives that honor Him.

Our focus is not on a person’s past but on the transforming power of the gospel. Through biblical teaching, intentional discipleship, and a supportive Christian community, we help believers establish new habits, cultivate godly character, and pursue a life shaped by obedience to Jesus Christ.  (Matthew 28:19-20)

Why is there a need for discipleship?

  • Because we are commanded to make disciples.
  • Because biblical discipleship is virtually nonexistent in many of today’s churches.
  • Because of the absence of the knowledge of God, His Word and His salvation in our society.
  • Because the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
FGR Statement on Discipleship
Fertile Ground Ranch is committed to teaching men to put on discipleship as a lifestyle. This is the plan of Jesus: that the gospel would spread to all nations through his disciples. As Paul instructed Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2: "You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others."

What does that look like at FGR? It involves deep biblical learning, loving and serving our brothers and sisters, and developing a commitment to make more disciples.

The home of Fertile Ground Ranch is an 18-acre farm in picturesque Brown County, Indiana.  It is ideally suited to tranquility, spiritual growth, and focus on the teachings of Jesus Christ as given to us in God's Holy Word.
